Introduction

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. This Data Rights Policy ("Rights Policy") outlines those rights and explains how you can exercise them with Buselor. We are committed to facilitating the exercise of these rights in a timely and transparent manner. This Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy & Data Protection Policy and Data Protection Policy.

Your Rights

You have the following rights over your personal data:

This is not an absolute right and may not apply if we are required to retain the data by law (e.g., for financial regulatory compliance).	Contact us with a "Request for Erasure." We will assess your request and inform you of the outcome.
download Data Portability	You have the right to request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.	Contact us with a "Request for Data Portability." We will provide you with a JSON or CSV file of your data.
pause Restrict Processing	You have the right to request that we restrict or block the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances (e.g., while a dispute is being resolved).	Contact us with a "Request for Restriction of Processing." We will review and implement appropriate restrictions.
block Object	You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes or on grounds relating to your particular situation.	You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, or contact us to object to other processing activities.
cancel Withdraw Consent	Where we rely on your consent to process your data (e.g., for marketing), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.	Contact us or use the "Unsubscribe" feature in our marketing emails.
gavel Complain	You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you believe we have violated your data protection rights.	Contact us first to give us a chance to resolve the issue, or contact the NDPC directly.

How to Submit a Request

Response Time

We will acknowledge your request immediately and respond to you within 30 days of receiving a valid request, as stipulated by the NDPA 2023. In some cases, we may extend this period by an additional 30 days if the request is complex, but we will notify you of the extension.

Fees
